Victorinox Swiss Army Tools - Equipping People For Life's Adventures
In 1884, Karl Elsener started his cutlery factory in the small village of Ibach, Switzerland, where he pioneered the creation of the ‘Soldiers’ pocket knife for the Swiss Army.
In 1897 he created a slightly lighter more elegant 'Officer's Knife' that would later, in remembrance of his mother, Victoria, become known around the world as the Victorinox ® Original Swiss Army™ Knife.
The actual brand name Victorinox was adapted from two words: "inox" (stainless steel), and the original brand and name of the company, Victoria.
Today, the ingenious, award winning multi tool remains an icon of precision, quality, functionality, versatility and outstanding value.
